Your task today is simple. Appreciate the good.

Don’t postpone your joy. Don’t put it off, or miss it altogether. Experience the pleasure that’s inherent in life, now. Appreciate the good.

Actively enjoy things. Cultivate and be mindfully aware of the good that is. Don’t focus on what isn’t, could have been, or should be. Focus on the good that’s in front of you, right here and now.

Gratitude is the experience of active appreciation. It infuses everything with positive energy. Gratitude makes everything seem brighter and nice. When you actively appreciate what you have, what you have becomes better. It becomes more. Enough. It becomes perfect.

With gratitude, it’s not just the good that gets better. So does the bad. It turns problems into lessons, challenges into opportunities, and failures into the stuff that creates success. Somehow, the bumps in your road don’t seem so bumpy. Your path becomes right and perfect for you.

No wonder appreciating things creates happiness. It helps you experience joy and satisfaction without having to add, delete, or change anything. Hmm. Sounds like a play plan to me.

And you thought you were going to bitch today. I don’t think so.
