Just what is a Scratch?

A scratch from here on will ever be known as, a shared thought from Mike. It represents a tribute to my Mom and Dad, Alma and Charlie B. They were both “scratch” performers. Mom as a cook/baker and Dad as a golfer. She made everything from fresh ingredients, no mixes or seasoning packets, and he rarely shot above par as a golfer. They were both gifted in very unique ways. So on this site, a “scratch” is an idea about preparing, performing and improving.  Thus the Scratch Pad is where these things will be shared and recorded. So here’s to being really good, doing well and continually getting better.
